Hey, I'm Aoife!

I'm studying Systems Design Engineering at the University of Waterloo. I'm currently preparing for my first co-op term, which starts this Winter. I'm especially excited to explore opportunities in software, UX design, and systems thinking.

My Projects

• Evil Hangman Game (Java/JavaFX/CSS) - A twist on the classic game where the computer adapts to your guesses to avoid choosing a word until the very end.
• This Website! (HTML/CSS/JavaScript) - Designed in Figma and built with HTML/CSS, it shows my projects, interests, ongoing work, and how to connect with me.
• Weather Outfit App (React Native/JavaScript) - An app that provides clothing recommendations based on the weather and allows users to log their daily outfits and comfort levels to improve future suggestions. ONGOING

Current Focus

• Learning React Native and JavaScript to build mobile apps.
• Learning basic web development (HTML/CSS/JavaScript/React/Next.js)
• Prototyping UI/UX with Figma.
• Improving my algorithm and problem solving skills using LeetCode (Python/Java/C++)
